Thoughts For The Ride

Please come 15 minutes early to sign in and pay.

If you must cancel, please do so 24 hours in advance.

Horses work for hugs. Wranglers work for tips. 

We operate in all weather conditions, so dress accordingly!

Long pants, closed-toed foot wear and a sweatshirt or coat are recommended.

Children over the age of five ride their own horse. Children under the age of 5 cannot ride on the trail. Only one person per horse, no riding "double".

Trail Rides

Change is in the air at Beaver Village Lodge! Fossil Ridge Guide Service is starting a new summer program, with activities to please the whole family! With the arrival of our horses, you can choose to saddle up and take a horseback ride, or enjoy the scenery from one of our horse drawn wagons.

Our trail rides take you on beautiful forested trials that pass through meadows, along the Fraser River, and give us great views of the Winter Park and it's wildlife. Our rides are designed for children and the inexperienced rider, or for those looking to get some great photographs. These mild paced rides offer guests a personal experience in small groups or privately with the wilderness and your guide. Our knowledgeable guides are here to answer questions and keep your family safe, as well as point out the passing wildlife!
